I recently had the opportunity to record an episode of the Beyond the Surface podcast with Sam Sellers, a mental health therapist in Australia.

This one was quite enjoyable and a bit different than previous podcast experiences. There is the distinct difference in accents – Australian and North Carolinian. Sam approaches each episode as an opportunity to dive beneath the surface of someone’s story and examine some of the pieces that may otherwise go unrecognized. This format made for a different kind of conversation and an opportunity to reflect on some aspects of my experience that I haven’t previously shared publicly.
The podcast episode, entitled “The One Raised in a Non-Traditional Southern Baptist Home” can be found on most major podcast platforms. For your convenience, here are a few options of places for you to listen:
- Beyond the Surface website (includes transcript of episode)
- Spotify
- Apple Podcasts
